Ministry of Land and Resources Issues 2014 Main Statistical Data of Land and Resources
In February 2015, the Ministry of Land and Resources issued the 2014 Main Statistical Data of Land and Resources. The data shows that, the approved area of state-owned construction land throughout China is smaller than the past two years, and that there are some changes in the land supply structure. Specifically, in China, the total supply of construction land was 610,000 ha in 2014, reduced by 16.5% on a year-on-year basis. Among them, land for mining and warehouse was 147,000 ha, dropping 29.9% on a year-on-year basis; land for real estate was 151,000 ha, dropping 25.5%; land for infrastructure and other purposes was 311,000 ha, dropping 1.9%. In the 105 major monitored cities nation-wide, the increase speed of the prices for comprehensive, commercial, and residential lands continued to slow down on a year-on-year basis, while that of the price for industrial land had a moderate rise on a year-on-year basis. By the end of the fourth quarter of 2014, in the 105 major monitored cities nationwide, the prices for comprehensive, commercial, residential, and industrial lands were 3,522 yuan/m2, 6,552 yuan/m2, 5,277 yuan/m2, and 742 yuan/m2 respectively. The increase rates of these four kinds of land prices were respectively 0.94%, 0.39%, 0.69%, and 1.45% compared to the last statistical period, while the increase rates on a year-on-year basis were 5.16%, 3.90%, 4.85%, and 6.03% respectively.
