The State Council Deploys the Construction of “Made in China 2025” National Level Demonstration Areas
Premier Li Keqiang recently presided over the standing meeting of the State Council and deployed the work concerning construction of “Made in China 2025” National Level Demonstration Areas, in order to accelerate the upgrading transition of manufacture industry. At the meeting, it was stressed that establishing “Made in China 2025” National Level Demonstration Areas and exploring a breakthrough in upgrading the transition of substantial economies, especially the manufacturing industry, are quite important for both the structural reform on the supply side and the construction of a powerful manufacturing-based country, so as to maintain a medium- and high-speed economic growth and reach a medium and high development level. It was also highlighted at the meeting that certain cities or city clusters should be chosen in the eastern, central, and western regions of China, and in these areas, the emphasis should be laid upon innovating related institutions and mechanisms, deepen the opening up and cooperation, breaking the development bottleneck of the manufacturing industry, building up an advanced cloud platform for the manufacturing industry in combination with “Internet +” and “Public Entrepreneurship, Innovation,” and experimenting on aspects including innovative system construction, intelligent and green manufacturing, etc. In the meantime, preferential policies related to streamline administration and delegating power to the lower levels, the finance and taxation, the land supply, and the talent fostering, which have been implemented in National Independent Innovation Demonstration Areas, should be expanded to the “Made in China 2025” Demonstration Areas, with no discriminations to either domestic or foreign enterprises.
