Six Ministries Release a List of Traditional Chinese Villages under the Fiscal Support by the Central Government
Recently, Six ministries including the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT), the State Administration of Cultural Heritage (SACH), the Ministry of Finance (MOF), the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MOARA), jointly released an announcement that agrees to filing the technical documents of total 444 traditional Chinese villages such as Dongshiguyan Village, Wangping Town, Mentougou District, Beijing, etc., including them into the scope of first part of projects under the fiscal support by the Central Government in 2018; and also decided to include 156 traditional Chinese villages such as Jiulipu Village, Yangjiaqiao Township, Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, etc., into the scope of the second part of projects under the fiscal support by the Central Government in 2018. The announcement requires all related government departments at the province (region, city) level to strictly follow the Opinions by the MOHURD, MCT, SACH, and MOF on Effectively Completing the Relevant Work of Protection Projects of Traditional Chinese Villages. Efforts should be made to effectively complete the work concerning organization and implementation of various protection projects involving traditional Chinese villages under the fiscal support of the Central Government. Moreover, related supervision and examination should be enhanced to urge related traditional villages to record project implementation into the information system for traditional Chinese village protection project management. And related government departments at the province (region, city) level should submit the report on the implementation status of tradition village protection of the last year to the MOHURD and MOF by the end of February of each year.
